By mining RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) and proteomic datasets from the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia (CCLE),16,17 we found that there was an inverse relationship between the expression levels of the CDKN2A and RB1 genes, especially at the protein level, among human cancer cell lines (N = 364, R = −0.38, and p = 8.74e-14; Figures S1A and S1B). This evidence concerns the gene CDKN2A and cancer.
