From MutSigCV, 104 mutated genes had P < 0.01 (Additional file 4) but only seven were considered significant based on a q-value < 0.01 (ARID1A, B2M, ELF3, OR6B1, RHOA, RPL22, and TP53 (Table 1). In these seven significantly mutated genes, the proportion of mutated cases with non-cardia cancer is as expected, based on the percentage of cases with non-cardia cancer in the dataset. The gene discussed is OR6B1; the disease is cardia cancer.
