Exploratory analyses (Table 2) showed that a history of AF (hazard ratio [HR] 0.33, 95% CI 0.12–0.96; p = 0.042), number of medications at baseline (HR 1.60, 95% CI 1.05–2.44; p = 0.030), prescription of an MRA at baseline (HR 2.57, 95% CI 1.26–5.24; p = 0.010) and baseline log NT‐proBNP (HR 5.35, 95% CI 1.49–19.23; p = 0.010) were associated with subsequent relapse at any stage. This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and atrial fibrillation.
