In glioblastoma, SALL2, together with SOX2, POU3F2, and OLIGO2, reprogrammed differentiated tumor cells into tumor stem cells, and also, SALL2 was one of the partners of SOX2 [14], suggesting SALL2 may be essential for the homeostasis of NSCs in the nervous system in vivo as well. This evidence concerns the gene SOX2 and glioblastoma.
