IFITM2 is suggested to be involved in several functions in the immune and inflammatory systems.30 Furthermore, IFITM2 has been reported to promote tumor progression and to be overexpressed in several types of cancer, such as in renal cell cancer where increased IFITM2 expression was associated with unfavorable prognosis.31 In line with this, we found that downregulation of IFITM2 was associated with favorable ORR and OS. Here, IFITM2 is linked to renal cell adenocarcinoma.
