Some studies have suggested that the endometrium has low susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection due to low ACE2 and TMPRSS2 expression, which is complicated by the limited number of endometrial samples from women with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 who tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 (Henarejos-Castillo et al., 2020; De Miguel-Gomez et al., 2022a; De Miguel-Gómez et al., 2022b).
