Indeed, extracellular exosomes (i.e., L1CAM positive41,42) were consistently enriched pathway in agreement with our previous BAR studies13 suggesting αsyn aggregates in synucleinopathy brain partly resemble exosomes, and supporting the hypothesis that αsyn/αsyn aggregates can spread via exosomes43–46. The gene discussed is L1CAM; the disease is synucleinopathy.
