Pure autonomic failure is considered a predominantly post‐ganglionic autonomic disorder and this is supported by the finding of alpha‐synuclein aggregation as neuronal cytoplasmic inclusions in the intermediolateral column of the spinal cord with accompanying neuronal loss, Lewy bodies in sympathetic ganglia, enteric neuron bladder wall [18] and skin sympathetic nerves [19]. Here, SNCA is linked to autonomic nervous system disorder.
