It is important to point out that a recent study found a novel association of BA requiring LiverTx with the top-ranked AFAP1 and second-ranked TUSC3 genes in this largest-ever GWAS of BA cases.12 The AFAP1 gene, also known as AFAP1L1, encodes a protein involved in actin cytoskeleton organization and cell motility. Here, AFAP1L1 is linked to breast angiosarcoma.
