The injection of LNA-modified anti-miR-192 into diabetic mice, effectively inhibited the expression of miR-192 and downstream miRNAs (miR-216a, miR-217 and miR-200 families) and reduced the expression of collagen, TGF-β, fibronectin and p53, thereby alleviating renal fibrosis and proteinuria in DKD [72,97,98]. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and renal fibrosis.
