Many of the identified DEGs are also considered significant in connection to different diseases that affect the CNS such as Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, bipolar disorder, and depression (such as LRP4, GPR50, and PCSK9), as well as clinical features such as intellectual disability and epilepsy (CDC42BPG, and LRP4). Here, CDC42BPG is linked to early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
