Despite some discrepancies in the Asian and Latin American population, data obtained from the Human Gene Mutation Database (HGMD) “https://www.hgmd.cf.ac.uk/ac/index.php (accessed on 28 August 2024)” and the Multiple Osteochondromas Mutation Database “https://databases.lovd.nl/shared/genes/EXT1, https://databases.lovd.nl/shared/genes/EXT2 (accessed on 28 August 2024)” [4] evidence that the number of pathogenic variants in EXT1 is higher than that of EXT2 [10]. This evidence concerns the gene EXT1 and Multiple osteochondromas.
