By analyzing the dynamic changes in key modules involved in androgen-associated activities in CRPC and identifying stage-related gene modules combined in the weighted gene co-expression network, we identified four genes, including SCD, NARS2, ALDH1A1, and NFXL1, as core members of DNBs, which can serve as biomarkers involved in the transition of prostate cancer cells from an androgen-dependent state to a castration-resistant state. The gene discussed is NARS2; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
