As shown in Figure 7, 14 days post-surgery, the protein expression of magnesium ion transporters MagT1, SLC41A1, and CNNM2 in the left retina (contralateral side) was down-regulated by 63.93% ± 10.48% (p < 0.01), 41.03% ± 8.97%, and 44.29% ± 9.29% (p < 0.05), respectively, in the PD group compared to the control group. Here, MAGT1 is linked to Parkinson disease.
