TXN and cancer: It has been shown that Trx expression is increased to protect various cancers, leading to increased tumor aggressiveness and poorer overall survival [62,101,102,103], including in colorectal carcinoma (CRC) [104,105,106], lung cancer [102,107], pancreatic cancer [83], gastric cancer [108,109,110,111], hepatic cancer [82,112], breast cancer [113,114,115], and tumors of the hematopoietic system [26,116,117,118,119].
