Immunohistochemistry and double immunofluorescence staining showed that Gal-9 in patients with HBV-ACLF was localized in areas of active liver tissue regeneration and co-localized with CD68 + KCs in the liver tissue of patients with liver failure, indicating that KCs may primarily secrete Gal-9 in liver tissues. This evidence concerns the gene CD68 and Hepatic failure.
