Three studies consistently found a significant increase in Bifidobacterium and Eggerthella, and a marked decrease in Macromonas, Butyricvibrio, Prevotella, and Lachrillum in BD patients compared to HC.[86–88] Ye et al[89] reported an increase in sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and a decrease in butyrate-producing bacteria (BPB) in BD patients, with BD showing a positive correlation with SRB and a negative correlation with BPB. The gene discussed is CCT4; the disease is Behcet disease.
