Within a 20-year longitudinal cohort study employing the OLINK Proteomics Inflammation Panel, researchers have identified that a suite of inflammatory protein biomarkers—including Interleukin 10 (IL10), Leukemia Inhibitory Factor Receptor (LIF-R), Chemokine (C-C motif) Ligand 19 (CCL19), Interleukin 17C (IL-17C), Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein 4 (MCP-4), and Transforming Growth Factor Alpha (TGF-α)—exhibits an association with the trajectory of cognitive deterioration and the subsequent risk of onset of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) [31]. This evidence concerns the gene LIFR and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
