Scholars have identified associations between TXNIP and several conditions, including cancer [12,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32], atherosclerosis [33], diabetes and its complications [34,35], neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease [36], stroke [37], and subarachnoid hemorrhage [38].
