To investigate the role of the Thr748 phosphorylation of STAT1 in the lupus pathology, we examined the survival rates, titers of autoantibodies, cytokines expression, and immune complex glomerulonephritis in wild type (hereafter referred to as Wt) and their Stat1T748A mutant (hereafter referred to as T748A) female littermates on C57BL/6 background following pristane intraperitoneal injection (Figure 1A). This evidence concerns the gene STAT1 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
