LYST and Crohn disease: While lysosomal dysfunction was described for a plethora of diseases among which are SLE (Wang and Muller, 2015), Sjörgen disease (Sohar et al., 2005), Crohn’s disease (Lassen et al., 2016), and rheumatoid arthritis (Ansari et al., 2021), the enlarged endolysosomes in CHS and LRBA deficiency are functional in terms of protein degradation.
