Tfh cells were further classified as PD-1+ICOS- Tfh cells, PD-1+ICOS+ Tfh cells, and PD-1-ICOS+ Tfh cells, and the percentages of PD-1+ICOS- Tfh2 cells and PD-1+ICOS- Tfh17 cells in patients with MM were lower than those in HCs (P = 0.01 and P = 0.003, respectively) (Figure 3C), but no differences were observed in the PD-1+ICOS+ Tfh cells between both groups (P > 0.05) (Figure 3D).
