LDLR and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease: Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP1) belongs to the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) family, which has been demonstrated to participate, together with HSPG, in mediating both Aβ (Kanekiyo et al., 2011) and tau (Rauch et al., 2020) uptake in Alzheimer’s disease.
