Although MSI‐H tumors have a ‘hot’ TME with significantly increased infiltration of B cells, CD8(+) T cells, activated memory CD4(+) T cells, T follicular helper cells (Tfhs), M1‐type macrophages, and neutrophils, while MSS tumors have greater regulatory T‐cell (Treg) infiltration [18, 19], decreased accumulation of CD56(+) natural killer (NK) cells in MSI‐H CRC tumors has been noted [20].
