Aldesleukin, or high-dose (37 μg/kg) recombinant human IL-2 (rhIL-2), monotherapy has been shown to effect durable and, in some cases, complete responses in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and metastatic melanoma, but with objective responses generally observed for lesser than 20% of patients in clinical trials (1, 2). Here, IL2 is linked to metastatic melanoma.
