Logistic regression analysis adjusted for possible confounding factors such as age, gender, CAD, and hypertension revealed that the GA genotype carriers of ACE2 rs2285666 among positive case group and ICU patients were less prone to COVID-19 infection (OR: 0.208 (95% CI: 0.07-0.5), P=0.002; and OR: 0.153 (95% CI: 0.03-0.6), P=0.013, respectively), indicating a protective effect of the minor allele. The gene discussed is ACE2; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
