There was a significant correlation between the presence of sarcopenia and various predictors of MACE, including age (Spearman’s r = 0.47, p < 0.001), CRP (Spearman’s r = 0.13, p = 0.044), serum albumin (Spearman’s r = −0.22, p < 0.001), 25(OH) vitamin D (Spearman’s r = −0.26, p < 0.001), and CACS (Spearman’s r = 0.20, p = 0.002) in the correlation matrix (Figure 4). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and sarcopenia.
