ACE2 and hemorrhagic stroke: Essentially, the pathophysiology of cerebrovascular events, such as ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke [16,18], hypoxia, and coagulopathy, reflecting microthrombi formation secondary to endothelial cell inflammation and cytokine storms, has also been linked to the impaired endothelial function in the cerebral arteries caused by ACE2 inactivation [18].
