In summary, through the integration of genetics and the human plasma proteome, we found that the levels of three protein-coding genes (CDCP1, GLRX2, and KIRREL2) may be linked to a higher risk of PCOS, suggesting that they may be an entry point for exploring the pathogenesis and treatment of PCOS, warranting further basic and clinical investigations. Here, CDCP1 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
