CD8A and metastatic melanoma: According to a previous report, blocking MIF‐CD74 signaling in macrophages can restore antitumor immune responses in patients with metastatic melanoma.[40] Additionally, in a mouse xenograft model, inhibition of the MIF‐CD74 interaction significantly suppressed tumor growth.[41] Therefore, MIF‐CD74 may play an important role in the spatial codependency between C1QC+ TAMs and CD8+CXCL13+ Tex cells, and this role is shared with several epithelial cancer types.
