To further our knowledge of cellular eIF2B localization, we transiently transfected the catalytic ε subunit (eIF2Bε) tagged with a monomeric green fluorescent protein (mGFP) into neuroblastoma (SH-SY5Y), astrocytoma (U373) and hybrid primary oligodendrocytes (MO3.13) cell lines and observed different patterns of eIF2B localization in all 3 cells lines (Figure 1A). The gene discussed is EIF2B4; the disease is neuroblastoma.
