Survivin, a downstream signaling molecule of HIF-1α, is a strong inhibitor of apoptosis, which can be regulated positively by HIF-1α and expressed in common malignant tumors, such as breast cancer, BCa, renal cancer, colorectal cancer, neuroblastoma, and ovarian cancer, but not in normal tissues. The gene discussed is HIF1A; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
