ACE2 and COVID-19: The GG genotype, G allele of ACE2 G8790A, and GG genotype of AT2R A1675G were significantly higher in the control group and had a protective effect against COVID-19 as well as decreased the development of lung involvement (OR = 0.29, 95% CI = 0.10–0.84; OR = 0.40, 95% CI = 0.22–0.72; and OR = 0.33, 95% CI = 0.14–0.78, respectively).
