Moreover, epithelial cell marker (E-cadherin) was upregulated and mesenchymal cell markers (N-cadherin, Vimentin, Snail) were downregulated with lncRNA CADM2-AS1 knockdown; lncRNA CADM2-AS1 overexpression also enhanced the expression of N-cadherin, Vimentin and Snail and decreased the expression of E-cadherin, which were necessary for GC cell metastasis.
