IL‐17A inhibitors such as bimekizumab, secukinumab, and ixekizumab have been used in several clinical trials on the treatment of AS as well as psoriatic arthritis and certain skin diseases.[32] However, although pathological ossification is a long‐term, chronic process there has been no long‐term clinical follow‐up assessment of the efficacy of IL‐17A inhibitors in inhibiting ossification. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and psoriatic arthritis.
