Interestingly, no specific proteoglycans were found to be more highly expressed in the tumor tissue, while in the NAT tissue, heparan sulfate proteoglycan 2 (HSPG2), decorin (DCN), hyaluronan and proteoglycan link protein 1 (HAPLN1), proline- and arginine-rich end leucine-rich repeat protein (PRELP), lumican (LUM), and other proteins showed enriched expression. This evidence concerns the gene PRELP and neoplasm.
