Additionally, our study reveals eight CpGs specifically hypermethylated in HCC and located in six genes, EFNB2 (CpG#2, CpG#17, CpG#21), MTHFD2 (CpG#3), TSC22D1 (CpG#8), CELF6 (CpG#24), SH3YL1 (CpG#29) and RNF135 (CpG#32). The gene discussed is SH3YL1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
