Analysis of 25,510 single-cell transcriptomes spanning three independent single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) datasets and 22 patients (including four from this study) confirmed that glioblastoma cells defined by Nestin/S100B expression and absence of immune marker CD45 capture the majority of malignant cells (Fig. 1b,c and Extended Data Fig. 1a–d). This evidence concerns the gene S100B and glioblastoma.
