ESC 2023 ACS guidelines recommend that in ACS patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), after a short period of triple therapy up to 1 week from the acute event, a combination therapy with direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) and P2Y12 inhibitor (preferably clopidogrel) should be continued for 1 year, followed by DOAC monotherapy. Here, P2RY12 is linked to atrial fibrillation.
