Studies have demonstrated that the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease is related to abnormal deposition of β-amyloid protein, neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) caused by tau protein hyperphosphorylation, neuroinflammatory response, mitochondrial dysfunction, and abnormal synaptic transduction function (DeTure and Dickson, 2019). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
