Considering the results of the in vitro binding assays, the biodistribution and the MRI studies, the [Gd-DOTAMA]4-CBP1 probe emerged as the lead imaging probe for molecular imaging of COL3 post-MI induced by permanent occlusion of the proximal left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery (Fig. 5a) Prior to imaging, we characterised the changes in the expression of COL3 post-MI by histology.
