NPPB and atrial fibrillation: After adjustment for patient age, sex, key comorbidities, and other echocardiographic characteristics, each of the prespecified factors of interest was also associated with increased mortality risk, with associated HRs of 1.09 (95% CI: 1.02-1.15) for LVEF ≤55%, 1.34 (95% CI: 1.21-1.48) for LV dilation, 1.09 (95% CI: 1.03-1.16) for LA dilation, 1.11 (95% CI: 1.04-1.17) for atrial fibrillation, and 1.71 (95% CI: 1.60-1.84) for elevated BNP/NT-ProBNP (Central Illustration, Supplemental Table 1).
