We replicated the APOE e4 risk allele and additionally the same markers of the ten known AD loci (Bellenguez et al., 2022; Kunkle et al., 2021) – ABCA7, ANK3, CLU, FERMT2, GRN, PRDM7, RASGEF1C, SEC61G, SORL1, and TREM2. APOE ε4 allele is the major risk factor for AD in almost all populations, but its effect differs among different ancestral populations (Farrer et al., 1997). The gene discussed is FERMT2; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
