PSP, CRP, and PCT levels were significantly higher in the confirmed sepsis group (126.5 (range: 70–271) ng/L, 132 (range: 80.6–194.5) mg/dL, and 13.8 (range: 5.2–32.1) mg/dL) compared to the suspected sepsis group (87 (32–138.5) ng/L, 70.25 (43–122) mg/dL, and 7.25 (0.7–14.6) mg/dL) (p = 0.04, 0.01, and 0.05, respectively; Table 2).
