Similar to the pattern in H9C2 cells, the hypertrophic markers ANP and BNP, and the hypertrophy related transcription factor GATA-binding protein 4 (GATA4), an important member of the GATA family of transcription factors and has been confirmed to play an important role in the process of cardiac hypertrophy [23], were also downregulated with siAlkbh5 transfection in PE-induced NRCMs (Fig. S3C). Here, GATA4 is linked to cardiac hypertrophy.
