When we assessed triple knockout mutants’ response to IFNγ stimulation (i.e., ∆ist/∆gra16/∆gra24, ∆ist/∆gra16/∆gra28, ∆ist/∆gra24/∆gra28, and ∆gra16/∆gra24/∆gra28), we observed that all but ∆gra16/∆gra24/∆gra28 mutants had an elevated LDH release reaching ~70%–85% of that seen in the ∆myr1 infection (Fig. 3F). This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and infection.
