AKT1 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Previous in vitro studies highlighted the anticancer effects of MZLAE on hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) [20] and colon cancer (HT29) cells [21] by modulating the transcription expression of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/protein kinase B/C-Jun N-terminal protein kinase 1 (ERK1/Akt1/JNK1) and integration site/beta-catenin (Wnt/β-catenin) signalling pathways, respectively.
