BRAF and thyroid gland follicular carcinoma: Herein, we introduce a case involving the Bethesda system category III thyroid nodule harboring a positive BRAF V600E mutation detected via quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assay, followed by thyroidectomy and lymph node dissection.[8] Nevertheless, the definitive pathology report yielded an unexpected diagnosis of indolent follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC) accompanied by a rare non-V600E BRAF mutation, confirmed by Sanger sequencing.
