Having previously established that DarTG inhibits ICP1 genome replication (Fig. 3C), we next monitored ICP1 genome copy number prior to and 20 minutes post-infection, hypothesizing that the ICP1 isolate encoding Gp145D62 would be able to replicate its genome to the same level as is observed in a permissive host.
