ACSL4 was previously shown to be involved in various types of ischemia/reperfusion39,40 and other neurodegeneration diseases,41 and we previously reported29 that thrombin induces ACSL4-dependent ferroptosis, and the decrease of ACSL4 may be the result of protective feedback during cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. This evidence concerns the gene ACSL4 and brain ischemia.
